My Cherokee is getting on a bit now, seven years and over 150k on it, and I’ve always gone for the basic service to keep costs down. But it’s starting to feel tired and I’m wondering if a more thorough service would actually catch things before they become problems, or if I’d just be paying extra for checks that don’t matter on a car this age. I want tofind out more about what a premium service actually covers before I decide, since the price difference isn’t trivial. Has anyone gone for the premium option on a higher mileage Jeep and felt it was genuinely worthwhile? Or did you find the standard service was enough and the premium was just extras you didn’t need? I’d rather understand what I’m paying for than just go cheapest out of habit.
